Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to Raqib: Jurnal Studi Islam are required to follow the guidelines below:

General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Articles may be written in English, Indonesian, or Arabic.

  • Manuscripts should be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope in the field of Islamic Studies.

  • Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism and unethical publication practices.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should generally consist of:

  1. Title

  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation

  3. Abstract and Keywords

  4. Introduction

  5. Research Method

  6. Results and Discussion

  7. Conclusion

  8. References

Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • Use clear and consistent academic language.

  • Citations and references should follow the Chicago Manual of Style (full note or author-date format, according to the journal template).

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.

Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should clearly describe the research objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions.

  • The abstract should consist of approximately 150–250 words.

  • Include 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the article.

References

  • References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources such as journal articles, books, and reputable academic publications.

  • All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.

  • Authors should follow all submission steps and complete the required metadata accurately.

Review and Revision

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Authors are responsible for revising manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified deadline.

Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish the article.

  • Published articles may be distributed under the journal’s licensing policy.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use the journal template and carefully follow these guidelines before submission.
